Los Angeles-based director Cole Borgstadt returns to his hometown of Fayetteville, Arkansas for this meditative short about death and its aftermath. “Voices of God” tells the story of two teenage boys on opposite sides of a deadly event in their town and the outlets they look to for emotional stability. As Borgstadt states:

“While not autobiographical, this story is born out of an event that occurred when I was in early high school where three boys were arrested for placing pipe bombs in strangers’ mailboxes. This film is a playing out of that scenario as well as a reflection on social pressures I experienced growing up in Arkansas. Everything you see above would not have been possible without the immense hospitality we experienced from the community of Northwest Arkansas. We are incredibly grateful for this and proud to share this film with you.”
