Great energy to this short piece for Monza by director Simon Gustafsson of Camp David Film. Monza is a small bicycle manufacturer in Stockholm. The film was made on a limited budget but with total creative freedom. Especially in light of the ongoing pandemic, Gustafsson aimed to showcase alternative ways of transporting ourselves from place to place. As he explains further:

“Inspired by old black and white street photography and also from the Chinese director Wong Kar Wai and his step printing technique I wanted to create a mix of something old and something new. Shot entirely on 16mm film accompanied by the tones of the great violinist Fritz Kreisler. Despite the stressful city and congestion, these riders are calm, playful and in full control while riding on their Monza-BMX’s. Like ninjas making their way through the city.”
