An ode to all we’ve lost to the pandemic from London-based filmmaker Sye Allen (previously featured here). Narrated by Scottish actress Kate Dickie, “The Empty Chair” features footage from venues like the Rio Cinema in Dalston, Walthamstow Football Club, and other independent institutions that are similarly struggling through economic hardships due to social distancing and lockdown procedures. As Allen states further:

“Unfortunately, many of my close friends have been forced to deal with untimely grief, and conversations with them were the seeds for this project, it will be dedicated to them and all of whom we’ve lost.”
