A stylish short from Los Angeles-based director Stephanie Szerlip. Inspired by the 1966 short story “Where Are You Going, Where Have You Been?” by Joyce Carol Oates, “The Follower” tells the story of a misunderstood teen who entertains the increasingly sinister advances of an Internet friend as a way of escaping her dreary suburban life.
