Love this video for Mild Minds and Boats‘ track “Walls” by New York City-based director Colin Read (previously featured here). Using VFX to great emotional effect, Read stitches together a series of digital “walls” of different moments to create a continuous, scrolling journey of a father and daughter, played by real father-daughter duo Alberto and Ana. As Read states:
“It’s always special when you can use music videos to tell a very human story. So I loved the opportunity to create a narrative about migration, displacement, and family separation—which are topics very close to me and my family, and more important to talk about now than ever.”
