London-based director Brock Neal-Roberts asks “why do we stop being young?” in this modern twist on Grimm’s fairy tales. “Fables Of An Aged Youth” presents three vignettes inspired by true stories of moments when youth felt lost or taken. While in classic fairy tales children are constantly threatened with the mysticism of ghouls and monsters, here Neal-Roberts suggests that losing our belief in those fantastical dangers is the scarier thing.
