Childish Gambino – “This Is America”

Director Hiro Murai‘s incredible video for Childish Gambino’s “This Is America” is as poetic as it is violent, and sharply expresses the confusion, the anger and ultimately the fear felt by many in the country. This is a masterpiece — flawless work by everyone involved, especially Larkin Seiple (director of photography) and Brian Freesh (steadicam operator).

Keny Arkana – “Madame la Marquise”

Love the energy of this video for Keny Arkana’s track “Madame la Marquise” by director Jeremi Durand. In a statement Durand shared with us about the project, it’s about more than striking visuals: “Pretending that everything is fine, we’re ending up burning our society up with all our phones and the virtual bubbles we’ve built for ourselves.”

Par – “Método”

A lone figure fights the temptation to fall asleep in this wonderfully strange video for Par’s track “Método.” As one of the creators, Flavia Quartino, writes:

“Método exists in the edge, between sleep and wakefulness, between life and death, between being alone and being among others, between day and night. It is loving the night, the state in which everyone descends into their own world, into their idiocy, their oniric dialogue with the deceased. Nameless sleepers, apolitical, illogical, sleeping we descend into Hades under the city.”
