Love this video for Young Fathers’ track “In My View” by London-based director Jack Whiteley. Starting with the question of how you make people care about a video, Whiteley collaborated with the band to come up with a series of vignettes that would check all the boxes required to elicit an emotional response from viewers. From there they took things a step further, adding a “meta curveball layer” that basically offers a step-by-step guide on how to make a music video. As he shared with us:

“I love videos that challenge perceptions, pull the rug from under the viewer, offer twists and subvert things, and so that’s what we’ve reached for here.”
