10 Cloverfield Lane is described as a “blood relative” (rather than a straight up sequel) to Abrams’ 2008 Godzilla-esque flick. John Goodman stars as a post-apocalyptic Kathy Bates (á la Misery), who houses a young woman in his bunker, seemingly for her own good. The film is directed by Dan Trachtenberg and opens March 11th.
