Sam Mason directs this astoundingly beautiful, and deeply moving, visual for Mac Miller’s “Colors and Shapes”, created in collaboration with Miller’s family. “In the abstract, it’s meant to be a video about childhood—growing up as an artist and the highs and lows of that experience. It’s sort of a look at the emotional and difficult and perilous but noble path of an artist.”
It’s hard not to get a little emotional watching this one. Woulda loved to hear decades more music from the guy. Easily one of the best things we’ve watched all year (animated or not). Big round of applause to everyone involved.
