The familiar surroundings of a new mother take a dark turn in this eerie short by Tel Aviv-based animation director and illustrator Neta Cohen. Initially created as a way of conveying the startling experience of new parenthood, “Six to Six” gains a new sense of relevance in light of the past year, with lockdowns and quarantines seeing many people trapped inside their own homes. As Cohen states:
“It is a sort of ‘road movie’ taking place entirely indoors, pacing along the seam between wakefulness and sleep, reality and imagination, dream and hallucination.”
