A beautiful portrait of the Northeast Kingdom for Black Fly’s track “Wait” by New York City-based cinematographer Patrick Golan (previously featured here). Inspired by the Vermont artist’s descriptions of this remote corner of the United States, Golan set out alongside Mayer Chalom and Sam Wood with lots of film stock but no clear plan:
“We let the highways and dirt roads take us through the region and were lucky enough to stumble upon lovely people, places, and moments. It was in the dog days of summer. Those last few weeks of warmth that feel like a candle being held against the gathering darkness of winter. It was a nice weekend.”
