Nicely stripped down video for The Fuzzy Crystals’ cover of “Ain’t Got No, I Got Life” co-directed by the band’s own Magdalene Herring and David Tourtellotte. Herring described the project to us as an expression of independence and “embrace of physical form.” While originally popularized by Nina Simone, Herring hopes their version adds a more uplifting feel as to her the song is about the permanence of the human body and the idea that “despite all the things we may not have, our soul can never be taken away.”
