“Hiking for Emails” by Clemens Purner

For those of you who can’t last five minutes with a crappy wifi connection, imagine having to go on a 2-day hike every time you wanted to check your email. That’s what Mahabir Pun did (for 6 years!) until one day, he decided he’d had enough and set about building his own wireless network for the Annapurna region in Nepal.
