Marine Serre, Ryan Doubiago, and Sacha Barbin direct “Ostal 24” SS22 for Marine Serre. The film may seem fairly mysterious but for Serre it is an exploration of freedom and of family. “I want people to feel the beauty and the simplicity of being together…and at the same time, recognise that everyday we make choices that have an impact, so how can we be more responsible in the decisions we make?’’
The term “Ostal’’ means home in Occitan—a historic language native to Serre’s roots. The significance of the term goes hand in hand with the message of the film, which is finding home in every aspect of life, no matter where it takes us. This is also the essence of the collection itself.
