Vancouver hip-hop duo, Snotty Nose Rez Kids, celebrate summer and the community that supports them with “Uncle Rico”. Great energy in this edit.
The video, directed by Sterling Larose, was shot on 16mm film (DP Kaayla Whachell) and features actor Cody Lightning starring as the duo’s own “Uncle Rico” as well as many of their west coast creative pals, including: Jenny Lea and Amine Bouzaher of I M U R (Vancouver-based group), Zuleyyma (Director/Photographer), and artists, Prado, Buckman Coe, Rosa (artist, member of NADUH and Off Topic), Mamarudegyal, Quanah Style, Nimkish, Lola Whyte (of Old Soul Rebel) and fashion designer, Hugo of RBRTH, who crafted a selection of the clothing pieces in the video.
