Cautious Clay – “Wildfire”

A beautiful video for Cautious Clay’s track “Wildfire” by New York City-based director Colin Read (previously feature here). Rotating through a series of distinct vignettes, the visuals speak to the song’s theme of being pulled in different directions and the pressures placed on an artist to fulfill a multitude of expectations. As Cautious states:

“It can feel like a struggle to be fully seen, and there’s an anxiety around reinventing oneself to stay true to oneself. This video attempts to capture that collection of feelings—on display to the world, trying to put on the right face.”
