A poetic dance piece by Madrid-based filmmaker Mikaela Guariniello. “Para una imagen rota” (“To a broken image”) explores the pressure placed on women to meet contemporary beauty standards through elaborately choreographed movement expressing the fear, pain, and feelings of suffocation associated with how unachievable self-expectations affect a woman’s relationship with her own body.
