A lovely short based on the idea of the intimacy of shared work by North Carolina-born, California-based director Sam Griffith. Award-winner at HeForShe Shorts Vienna, “Work” follows a young mother as she begins to question her identity while raising her daughter.
“Modern identity is built on the work we do, including — though it is rarely named as such — parenting. With this film, we wanted to explore how isolating it can be to have to get our hands dirty alone. At the same time, finding someone to work alongside can feel like a miracle, one that has the power to help us see ourselves a little clearer.”
