A man struggles with the death of his son in this epic short by writer-director Andzej Gavriss (previously featured here). Shot on a small coastal island with all local actors, Gavriss stayed in the village for months, getting to know the people and training them how to act. Safety was also a concern, as Gavriss explains:
“We were shooting open water in the Pacific ocean with a 7 year old boy and in the Mangrove forest river full of 6 meter long crocodiles so we were not allowed to shoot there after dusk but were lucky enough to get the permission on our own risk. I had to pass diving lessons to be able to scout the area.”
