An unexpectedly endearing documentary about heavy metal by director David Freid of Los Angeles-based MEL Films (previously featured here). Even if you’re not a fan of the genre, it’s impossible not to be charmed by the De Jong’s — a loving and supportive family from rural New Zealand who just happen to spend their time hailing a new wave of destruction.
