Some great shots in this video for Anousheh’s track “Bones” by director and editor Hunter Brumfield from Richmond, Virginia. As Brumfield shared with us, despite the slightly surreal greenhouse setting, the overall “rejuvenation aesthetic” parallels the singer’s real life MS diagnosis, offering new depth and meaning to the project.

A gorgeously shot introduction to the world of ‘seatrekking’ by Berlin-based director and photographer Cedric Schanze. While based around the simple idea of spending as much time near the ocean as possible, for those who’ve been pioneering the activity for almost 12 years, it’s more than just a new adventure sport; it’s a way of life.
In 2015, Schanze began documenting Seatrekking founder, Bernhard Wache, and his friends — meandering along coastlines for days at a time, discovering untouched beaches and setting up camp with only what they could fit into waterproof floatable backpacks. Schanze learned to free-dive (training himself hold his breath underwater for up to 5 minutes), travelled to Italy, Croatia, Tenerife, South Africa, Brazil and even spent some time in an Egyptian prison during what has become a deeply personal, life-changing experience. As he shared with us:
“It’s not just about the film but about the entire philosophy behind Seatrekking: being aware of yourself, the people around you and our wonderful planet.”

A delightful documentary short by UK-based photo collective Tripod City — aka Charlie Kwai, Chris Lee and Paul Storrie — whose work involves presenting multiple perspectives of different countries and cultures as a way of challenging stereotypes and preconceived notions. It was during their travels through Mexico City that the collaborative trio learned of Francisco and his “village of piñatas.” As Chris Lee explains, the story both encapsulated their experience and helped add a voice to the images they were capturing:
“For us it was a heartwarming insight into Mexican culture as the labour and teamwork that goes into each and every piñata is amazing. We were most overwhelmed by Francisco’s hospitality whilst we were there and his dedication to do what he loves and bring joy to so many children.”
