An incredible opening to this documentary short by Portuguese filmmaker Blaze Hunter. Shot over 6 months, “Way of Life” follows João de Macedo, a big wave surfer who takes a run at the world tour without a major sponsor. Music score by Miguel Guia.
Director Adam Roffman beautifully captures the story of DJ Ginsberg and Marilyn Wagner who stumbled upon a unique piece of motion picture history — the letterpress blocks and plates once used for film advertisements in newspapers. “The Collection” follows the two friends as they prepare to put their one-of-a-kind collection up for sale, which has been appraised at 8 – 12 million dollars.
More experimental, New York City-themed work from director and animator Ynon Lan. Created using over a thousand photos of the city’s unique textures and sounds.
Director Frederic van Strydonck does lot with very little in this low budget video for Sorority. As he shared with us:
“The song is about drinking. So I decided to film the whole video from the point of view of a bottle. Practically, we made this happen by inserting a GoPro inside a whisky bottle.”
Really enjoy seeing someone take a simple concept and run with it. Great vibe and energy to this as well! Check out “Resolve” above and see full credits below.

Some nice shots in this video for Virginia Man’s track “Mud Tires” directed by Washington, D.C.-based cinematographer Ian Anthony Reid (previously featured here). Inspired by a series of personal struggles over the past year, Reid explores how we deal with the pain of events that are beyond our control.
