U2 – “Love is Bigger Than Anything In Its Way” (Beck Remix)

A new video for U2 and Beck by Israeli collective broken fingaz crew (previously featured here). While Tant, Deso, Kip and Unga have worked on projects for U2 before, this is perhaps their most ambitious yet. As they shared with us:

“It is the 3rd video we did for U2 this year. Unlike the first two videos, this time we were all working together from the same place and approached it more like a short film. We used two animation techniques we never tried before; the classic animation is made up of 1,200 (!) acrylic paintings and for the stop-motion we teamed up with the amazing ZAZ animation studio to create a world from plasticine.”

Saro – “All Limbs”

The last of video in Los Angeles-based director Merlin Camozzi’s four-part series for Saro’s EP Boy Afraid (previously featured here). Camozzi further explains the concept behind the project:

“Earlier in the video series, Saro fights against his demons, but by the time we get to All Limbs, he learns to embrace those same demons, which is what leads to growth and freedom.”

Video for indie rock band Sundown Jury by Australia-based director Corey Donaldson. “Golden Gates” follows dancer Samantha Todd as a young girl negotiating an abstract and ever-changing dreamworld. As Donaldson further explains, the final cut consists of one slow motion take:

“We shot this at 120fps, so each take in real life was about 50 seconds, slowed down to the full length of the song.”
