Hercules & Love Affair – “Omnion”

A beautiful exploration of gender and identity for Hercules & Love Affair’s deeply personal track, “Omnion,” directed by Crowns & Owls. Despite the surreal nature of the scenes, the London-based filmmaking collective actively avoided the use of special effects whenever possible. As they shared with us:

“We shot the video with a mix of physical sets and miniatures, with some additional on-location shooting, so the end result was achieved using real elements and doesn’t rely on lifeless CGI. It was a real pleasure to work so closely with Andy during the creative process, drawing on his love of the theatrical set design of Robert Wilson and combining it with our interests in minimalism and surrealism.”

This video is one of many incredible submissions we’ve received in the past week. Consider participating here if you have a project you’d like us to check out!
