“Underwaterfall” by Jens Sage

South African dancer Nuske Tamryn moves to Bearcubs’ track “Underwaterfall” in this beautiful short by Berlin-based director and cinematographer Jens Sage. Shot earlier this year during a visit to Cape Town, the impromptu piece came together in just a matter of days after Sage stumbled upon the pier and began imagining what it would look like in the early morning light. After finding and contacted Tamryn through social media, the two started shooting immediately. As Sage recalls:

“We set up a date and met for the first time and only time on a Sunday morning in complete darkness at this pier. We listened to 4 songs and decided on Bearcubs – Underwaterfall because it matched the mood perfectly. Then we shot 6 takes in the dusk until the sun was up. Truly a one-of-a-time experience.”
