Wretch 32 – “Whistle” feat. Donae’o & Kojo Funds

Nice video for Wretch 32’s track with Donae’o and Kojo Funds by Lisbon-born, London-based director João Retorta. Tapping into the repetitive feel of the instrumentals, Retorta wanted to create a visual dynamic that keeps going back even as it moves forward because, as he shared with us, “aint that what house parties are all about? that same repetitive walk from the couch to the fridge, whilst the night turns into day”!

Mogwai – “Party in the Dark”

London/Paris-based filmmaker Craig Murray creates a series of miniature landscapes and sculptures using clay, plaster and wax for Mogwai’s track “Party in the Dark.”  Shot over 10 days, the video features a trippy mix of animation, time-lapse and live action, all captured in-camera (Cannon 600D).

LUMP200 – “Pull the Daisies”

A trippy animation for LUMP200’s track “Pull the Daisies” by Berlin-based illustrator Petra Péterffy. Drawing on elements from the cover art she designed for the band’s latest album, Péterffy shared with us how she approached the project (her first music video):

“There was no brief or any visual reference given, my task was simply to react to the music. The video intends to convey the song’s message just as symbolically and abstractly as the language of the lyrics is – in my interpretation: propagating equality in diversity.”
