Rooney Mara, Ben Mendelsohn and Riz Ahmed star in Australian theatre director Benedict Andrews’ adaption of Blackbird, a play which centres around a young woman’s confrontation with the man who sexually abused her as a child.
6. The Lure
Polish director Agnieszka Smoczyńska’s delightfully insane debut about a pair of mermaid sisters won the Special Jury Award for Unique Vision and Design at the Sundance Film Festival last year. Warning: nudity (NSFW).
